We offer flexible part time during daytime, after school, and Saturday morning hours.

Job Details:
GENERAL SUMMARY:
To evaluate, treat, and collaborate with children, their families, school therapists, and our therapy team. To implement specific programs to enable and improve communication in children ages 0-18+ with minor articulation needs, to severe non- verbal challenges from a range of underlying causes.
An interest in supervising 1 or 2 SLPA’s on our team is preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Communicate with patient and patient family to assess speech or language issues and treat accordingly. Produce evaluation reports with goals per protocol.
Determine the extent of communication problems by having patient complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks or by giving standardized tests. Assist with test reviews, updates and inventory.
Identify treatment options. Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans.
Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, or use of communication devices to patients with little or no speech capability. Draw language out of those with little or no verbal ability.
Work with patients to improve their ability to read and write correctly.
Work with patients to develop and strengthen oral muscles.
Counsel patients and families on how to cope with communication and processing disorders.
Timely and accurate record keeping.
Communication with clinic manager about optimizing schedules for YOU and kiddos.
Collaboration with other team members, MD.'s, School SLP's etc.
In certain cases treatment may occur with other therapists (co-treatment).
Experience in treating feeding / swallowing disorders, work with assistive devices a plus.
Experience with TeleHealth Speech a plus
Desire to supervise optional but welcomed.
2 years minimum experience working independently as Pediatric SLP is preferred.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Masters in Speech Therapy from an APTA Credited school or equivalent.
Practicing Independently in Pediatrics for 1+ Years
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills.
Goal oriented with desire to grow professionally.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed by the State of Illinois or eligible for Licensure as stated by state guidelines.
Schedule:
Flexible. After school, Saturday AM
Hours:
Clinic open Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 8:00PM. Saturdays 8:00AM - 2:00PM. Elgin Clinic is closed on Wednesdays.
Compensation:
$45.00 to $50.00 per insurance billable hour; plus addt'l paid time for eval. reports, misc. assignments etc.; plus 4 paid hours per month. Health Insurance and Dental Insurance offered to Full Time Employees.
