SPED teaching job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Working with and teaching a small group of students in and out of the classroom
- Assessing student classwork
- Designing and executing lesson plans
- Developing and adapting to individualized teaching methods for each student
- Using special tools and equipment to stimulate an engaging learning experience
- Utilizing special skills to teach Braille, sign language, and lip reading
- Informing parents of child’s progress and providing recommendations for a better at-home learning environment
- Other duties as assigned
