Special Procedures Tech - Internal Agency Job at Edward-Elmhurst Health
Compensation: $80/hour
8 work week-assignments. In this non-benefited resource role, candidates will be asked to agree to a minimal schedule of 36 hours per week. Following an 8-week period, assignments may be extended or new assignments may be offered.
General Summary: Assists physician in conducting diagnostics and/or invasive procedures by preparing equipment and patients for procedures, and attending to patients' needs according to established policies and procedures. Cleans and prepares a variety of sterile and non sterile equipment, catheters and the like, and troubleshoots equipment to ensure same is working properly.
Location: Elmhurst hospital
Hours: 10 hour shifts – Registry; 8-12 Week Assignments
Required:
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure,
- ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology) certification,
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required or must attain ACLS certification with twelve months of hire. Current incumbents have until November 1, 2010 to acquire ACLS certification, and
- Current CPR certification issued either by American Heart Association or Red Cross
Preferred:
A minimum 2 years exp in:
- Neuroscience,
- Catheterization Lab, or
- Special Procedures
