San Pedro Cafe is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for our culinary-focused,
Caribbean-influenced kitchen team. Evening and weekend hours are required.
$50,000 to $60,000 based on experience. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our guests' experience.
Responsibilities
● Help in the preparation and design of all food menus
● Produce high-quality plates in presentation and flavor
● Ensure that the kitchen operates in an efficient manner that meets our quality standards
● Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
● Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
● Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
● Proven experience as a leader in the kitchen
● Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
● Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
● Accuracy and speed in handling emergencies and providing solutions
● Familiar with industry’s best practices
