Overview

Green America is seeking a Solid Fuels Technician to join their Hannibal, MO team. Solid Fuels Technicians prepare and feed the best quality waste fuel material through the recycling process. This is a critical role ensuring the success of overall operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Recycle fifty-five-gallon drums by emptying, scraping clean, smashing, and loading into hopper.
• Operate mobile equipment as needed to move materials.
• Operate hand tools (shovels, brooms, squeegees, scrapers, etc.)
• Monitor equipment to ensure continuous operations; investigates failures and takes correct action.
• Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for inspecting mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform minor repairs, consult with maintenance on equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot process problems associated with field operations and equipment.
• Respond to all incoming communications via phone and/or radio.

Skills & Experience

• Must be able to wear full face respirator (requires being clean shaven).
• Computer literacy and navigation skills.
• Experience operating mobile equipment.
• Able to work overtime, and varying shifts as needed.
• Must be able to be on call and work necessary overtime.

Compensation Range:

Starting Pay: $26.48 per hour, overtime eligible.
