Overview

Solar Installation technicians work with Team Crew Chiefs to install and maintain photovoltaic (solar electric) systems in accordance with codes and standards, using detailed schematics and instructions. Installation of solar components may include measuring and cutting components, assembling structural framing, attaching and configuring solar modules, and performing minor electrical work. Electrical experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of residential solar electric systems and equipment
• Interaction with customers to explain and demonstrate solar components
• Working both individually and as a team to complete assigned tasks
• Completion of documents and reporting for each job or task as required
• Perform equipment inspections to verify proper installation practices and troubleshoot issues

Requirements

• Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work on rooftops of any height
• Must be knowledgeable in the use of basic hand and electrical tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent)
• Valid Florida Drivers License
• Dependable transportation
