Job Duties
Design, modify, develop, test, plan, write, operate, and implement software programming applications. Responsible for the design, development, automated tests, and delivery of the company’s core software technologies. Support and/or install software applications or operating systems and participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Solve software problems while delivering reliable, highly scalable, highly performing systems that Serco’s customers use on a daily basis. Develop and maintain Java modules of larger integrated solutions for Serco’s application platform and tools. Participate in daily standups, code reviews, task estimation, unit testing, continuous integration, and short bursts of delivery. Work with the software development team and other stakeholders to understand and capture project requirements. Liaise with the Tech Lead and Architect to balance project delivery requirements with operational issues. Coordinate with QA teams for testing and project implementation. Adhere to standard SDLC procedures for change control methodologies, problem management and escalations. Continuously improve, refine, and refactor the code base. Work with the team to improve the scalability and performance of existing software application.

Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field and 24 months of experience in job offered or a related occupation.

In compliance with Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $86,819 to $132,031; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
