PURPOSE OF POSITION: Develop and coordinate training program for Ski School Trainers and Instructors; Monitor guest feedback (Medallia Surveys) related to staff performance metrics, communicate staff performance, and utilize feedback to enhance/focus training opportunities. Manage video for outdoor teaching and value-added guest feature.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Inspiring skier, teacher, trainer, and leader with strong interpersonal skills
- PSIA Level 3 certification, PSIA CS accreditation, Staff Training experience required
- PSIA DECL (Divisional Ed Staff) experience preferred; must possess a current in-depth understanding of PSIA educational materials and certification/education programs
- Program planning and curriculum development experience required
- Computer skills to design and support online training programs for staff (on boarding/professional development)
- Experience supervising employees and conducting performance appraisals
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design curriculum for all instructor categories and classifications: new-hire; re-hire; children; adults; specialty; certification training; required training, policy and procedures; elective
- Develop and organize training sessions for Trainers, Ski Instructors, and On-snow Supervisors
- Prepare/update training manuals and documents; set up pre-season meetings and seasonal trainings to address current focus and trends in adult and child skiing and teaching models; supervise and coach trainers
- Prepare correspondence, manuals and other related documents for training, start up, procedures, etc.
- Provide inspirational leadership, direction and coaching for direct reports and their staffs
- Develop effective and respectful teamwork with managers
- Manage time and tasks effectively and efficiently
- Lead and mentor Core Training Team; Ensure a consistent educational approach for the trainers and staff
- Coordinate video operations with Videographers; Manage video staff
- Prepare/present 45-day and year-end reviews for direct reports
- Assist on-snow managers as a line-up supervisor during Holiday and peak business periods; assist Recruiting Manager and On-snow Supervisors assigned to programs

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: 8-9 month Seasonal Salaried designation with scheduled time off during the period from May - Aug.
