We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineering Architect who can lead the technology and design of significant parts of RedHat’s Data Development Platform for creating next generation analytical applications and run them at scale for both internal and external use. In this role, you will be the voice of Red Hat's technical authority, creating, managing and delivering features/ capabilities that helps Red Hat’s data community and in turn our customers achieve their business and technical goals with Red Hat data & digital systems effectively. You will work collaboratively with members of DDIS, IT, finance, operations, sales, marketing, and product to construct fit for purpose data pipelines, platform services, API services and dashboards that will be leveraged by business teams to drive proactive customer engagement.

Own the management of system architecture and be responsible for clean roll out of platform, data and analytical services across Red Hat working closely with IT, DDIS, Sales, Customer Success, BU and Marketing.

Interface with IT, Product and Data teams to guide them with architectural decisions around Day-1 and Day-2 operations of Data platforms and architecture

Collaborate with IT, Product and data teams to ensure operational data use cases and API’s are performance tested at scale
-
Work with cloud providers and service providers to understand best practices useful in running Red Hat’s data platform & services, and learn their roadmaps to drive data & telemetry requirements into DDIS, IT & data teams.

Work with and guide the data & analytics teams in Finance, Sales Ops, Marketing and Product to understand how the data services & foundation is being operationalized and provide feedback into the DDIS and IT.

Lead the architecture team meetings to ensure data services & tooling can meet scale and quality requirements for Red Hat customers, partners & users.

Be the escalation point for the DDIS team for handling incidents and outages around data platform & services
What you will bring:
-
5+ years experience managing Linux servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Fedora hosted at a cloud provider such as AWS, GCE, or Azure
-
5+ years experience with enterprise systems monitoring; knowledge of Prometheus is preferred
-
5+ years experience with enterprise configuration management such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
-
5+ years experience programming with at least one object-oriented language; golang, java, or python preferred
-
5+ years experience working in Public Cloud infra, demonstrate comprehensive understanding on Cloud Native workload and application management
-
3+ years experience delivering hosted services under SLA
-
3+ years leading an SRE/DevOps/Service Delivery geographically distributed team
-
1+ year experience with Kubernetes or docker-based containers
-
Superior communications skills and experience working directly with and presenting to customers
-
Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately troubleshoot systems issues • Solid understanding of standard TCP/IP networking and common protocols like DNS and HTT P
