Shop Foreman/Mechanic Job at US Ecology
What is the job?
The Heavy Equipment Technician performs maintenance and repair activities on heavy trucks, heavy-duty machinery, and off-road equipment.
This work includes, but is not limited to:
- Repairs and maintenance of tractor-trailer equipment, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, drive train, steering and suspension systems
- Diagnose problems, disassemble units, reassemble units
- Fabricate, modify, and install special equipment or replace parts using mills, lathes, welders, and metal cutting tools
- Ensure a clean and organized work area
What you need to apply
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 1-2 years of mechanical experience
- Welding and Fabrication skills
- Familiar with DOT specs and regulations preferred
- Able to work well with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
