As a Team Captain, you are the ultimate ambassador of South Block and our mission. Your smiling face and positive vibes will be the first and last things of our guests and blockstars experience, and making people feel awesome is what you do!! Team Captains not only ensure an exceptional guest and blockstar experience but also support our vision/mission "building Healthier communities ONE Block at the time!". Are you always helping others? Does decision making come naturally to you? Do you smile even when no one is looking? As team captain, you will contribute to the success at South Block by assisting the management team with store operations to create and maintain the South Block Experience for our guests and blockstars. You will regularly exercise your keen judgment and discretion to help manage the overall operations of the store.

YOUR DUTIES:

-Act as a company advocate and embody the South Block values: purpose, innovation, community, appreciation, positivity, cleanliness and making people feel awesome!

-Support the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach in supervising all areas of your "block "– blockstars, guests, and our mission.

-Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment: You can craft acai bowls/ smoothies, conduct accurate order taking procedures, deliver stellar guest service with an awesome smile all the same time!

-Demonstrate effortless teamwork skills as you rely and assist fellow blockstars in providing the South Block - good vibes only - experience.

-Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening/closing and weekly checklists.

-Actively participate with your fellow management team to improve store performance in areas of guest experience, controllable expenses, marketing, blockstars retention, training and development.

YOU HAVE:

-A passion and love of the South Block product, brand, and experience. ONE BLOCK!

-Ability to communicate verbally and understand and follow written and verbal instructions from management.

-Acai Bowl, Smoothie and Blender juggling abilities as you work well under pressure while maintaining a consistent pace to keep up with our bustling lines of guests.

-Good and stamina and energy. You love being on your feet and can lift up to 25 pounds, carrying boxes of fruit, acai, and paper goods.

-Awareness of presence, as you move around the workspace as you bend down to scoop ingredients for menu items and reach up to maneuver blenders and crafting of bowls.

-Passion to deliver good vibes at all times!
