Settlement Processor Job at Americor

As a Settlement Processor, you will work with creditors to negotiate/agree upon a reduced settlement on delinquent and/or charged-off accounts on behalf of our clients. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day work to be the most efficient and productive as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Work off emails and spreadsheets to assist our clients in obtaining settlements
  • Calculate acceptable settlement amounts according to guidelines set forth by the department
  • Effectively manage a spreadsheet of accounts to consistently hit monthly production goals
  • Review client accounts to determine the availability of funds
  • Gather and submit the required documentation for approval and payment of settlements and fees
  • Utilize multi-tasking and communication skills to work through the account queue and account lists provided by the creditor
  • Submit client settlement approvals
  • Provide extraordinary customer service to our clients

Requirements:

  • Previous Debt Settlement experience preferred
  • Experience managing a budget or account reconciliation is a plus
  • Good judgment and ability to adapt to change
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite
  • Close attention to detail and ability to apply policies, procedures, and guidelines to a variety of situations
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated desire to succeed with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
