We are seeking a Servicing Specialist in the Flint, Michigan area. The position will perform Servicing tasks and assist the Manager in projects as they are assigned.
Servicing Specialist Responsibilities:
- Process loan payments and servicer remittances received daily on the servicing systems and run interfaces to update Encompass with loan status and payment history information
- Process additional transactions including but not limited to; foreclosure, bankruptcy, late payment charges, short sales, loan modification requests and REO write offs
- Perform and audit escrow analysis on a quarterly basis
- Input newly funded loans on servicing system, ensuring all information is accurate and reporting correct to agency
- Weekly and monthly reporting to Senior Management regarding servicing portfolio performance, possible refinance opportunities and potential issues
- Track the status of required insurance policies and deficiencies, property taxes, following up with borrower(s) as required to ensure payment of defaulted taxes
- Servicing related audits including flood certification and tax contract services
- Disburse escrowed insurance premiums, property taxes, mortgage insurance and repair escrows
- Issue payoff statements as required. Upon receipt of payoffs, process the loan payoff and submit any re-conveyances
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
Servicing Specialist Key Characteristics:

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team or individual setting
- Ginnie Mae servicing experience required (minimum of 2 years)
- Schedule/schedule and actual/actual remittance experience
