Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Student Affairs, the Career Services Coordinator oversees all career services initiatives and resources for the School of Medicine Greenville. This position’s primary responsibility is the coordination for advising activities and residency placement preparation. This position will work closely with clinical faculty advising students. Additionally, this position serves as a College Success Coach.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience.
Prior experience working with students to improve or remediation of academic difficulties. Prior experience working with student information systems such as OASIS, NRMP, ERAS, and Banner.
Prior experience working with learning management systems such as CANVAS.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of a techniques and approaches to teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of the basic principles and theories of student development and educational
- Knowledge of the techniques of individual and group counseling
- Skill in the development and preparation of instructional aids.
- The ability to plan coordinate and direct programs designed to supplement and improve curricula.
- Ability to provide supportive counseling for a wide range of student problems and concerns.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
