To provide for the guest’s food and beverage needs in a friendly and professional manner consistent with the standards of the organization.

Server Duties & Responsibilities:

• To follow and comply with all Sun Valley Food & Beverage rules of conduct, policies, and procedures.
• Set up work station and ensure preparedness for shift.
• Set up dining room to be in accordance with restaurant standards.
• Greet the guests in a friendly and professional manner consistent with the Sun Valley experience.
• Solicit the guest’s food and beverage order, making suggestions and explaining choices as necessary.
• Communicate with culinary team regarding any allergens, dietary needs, or special requests.
• Properly submit orders through point of sale system.
• Deliver prepared food and beverages to the table, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain and execute service standards in accordance to the restaurant's training materials.
• Prepare and present accurate check, performing necessary cashier services to process the payment, and adhering to cash handling standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and neatness of guest’s table during and after the meal.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift.
• Complete other duties required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.
• Perform any and all “side work” duties as necessary.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.

Server Qualifications:

• Preferred 2 years serving experience in a similar resort setting.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Must be TIPs certified for alcohol service, or obtain a TIPs certification within 30 days of hire.
• Developed knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails with experience selling and presenting wines.
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to deal with people in a team-based, service oriented environment.
• Ability to perform duties in a manner that is strictly consistent with governmental and/or company standards.
• Ability to present ideas, suggestive sales, and facts clearly and concisely.
• Ability to receive guidance and supervision.
• Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
• Repetitive Work: Must have the ability to perform the same work over and over again.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
