Title: Technical Lead, Senior System Administrator for Incident Response Team
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a seasoned Senior System Administrator to join our Incident Response (IR) team. This role is integral to our IT disaster recovery operations and will focus on post-incident remediation after ransomware incidents. As the technical lead, you will be the face of our brand, helping clients navigate stressful situations with a calm, problem-solving approach. The successful candidate will have the ability to architect and execute solutions for our clients and will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues. You will have a strong technical background in a range of technologies, with a particular focus on Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Linux, Azure/O365 Management (and migrations), VMware, Veeam, and Windows workstation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take lead in resolving complex IT issues post-incident, providing rapid recovery and remediation solutions.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Be the face of the brand, maintaining a calming presence and providing reassurance to clients during stressful incidents.
- Travel frequently to client sites to provide onsite assistance.
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure the client's IT infrastructure is up and running in the shortest possible time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a System Administrator, preferably in a lead role.
- Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Linux, Azure/O365 Management (and migrations), VMware, Veeam, and Windows workstation management.
- Experience with SCCM, SQL Server, AWS or GCP, Nutanix, Okta is a plus.
- Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, cybersecurity, or various networking technologies are a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and at short notice (<24 hours) to client sites.
- Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
Work Environment:
- This role is primarily remote but requires frequent travel to client sites. While we aim for remote work wherever possible, some clients insist on onsite assistance. Be ready to fly out to respond to an incident and be onsite in less than 24 hours. Most of the time, our team is onsite for a few days to a week. After two weeks, we rotate our teams, so we aim to keep your onsite engagement to under 2 weeks at a time.
