Senior System Engineer Job at Kaiser
Job Summary:
Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, service and maintain a variety of diagnostic imaging systems such as but not limited to; x-ray systems, ultrasound systems, gamma cameras, film digitizers, which convert analog images to electronic data, and associated equipment such as laser imagers, dry process imagers, image spoolers, gateways and imaging workstations. Have the ability to use a variety of test equipment in the repair of this equipment such as; oscilloscopes, multi-meters and laptop computers running diagnostic programs. Supervision Received and Exercised: This position is supervised by the Imaging Systems Service Manager, and may receive daily direction from their Senior Imaging Systems Service Engineer. Essential Responsibilities:
Perform emergency service, routine preventive maintenance, and acceptance testing on all diagnostic imaging systems, electronic image transfer systems and associated equipment. Determine the need and work with vendor for service or assistance.
Maintain adequate parts inventory for the repair and service of diagnostic imaging systems, electronic image transfer systems and associated equipment.
Monitor and/or assist in the installations of diagnostic imaging systems, electronic image transfer systems and associated equipment.
Configure a variety of systems to allow diagnostic imaging studies to be transferred onto Kaiser Permanentes digital imaging environment.
Maintain service records through MITIs regional dispatch system.
Maintain tools and test equipment required for assigned duties.
Escalation point for complex cases
Working with vendors.
Lead regional projects as needed
Mentor and train other Service Engineers
Create documentation to be used in servicing
Acts as a regional product specialist
Travel throughout the Southern California Region is required.
Work flexible and/or extended hours when required for superior customer service.
Perform other assigned duties as required by the Imaging Systems Service Manager.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in field service of imaging systems maintenance which must include experience in IR, Cath, Mammo, Fluoro and X-Ray.
Education
Associate in Applied Science in Electronics OR two (2) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Driver's License (California)
Additional Requirements:
Must be capable of communicating with professional medical personnel, extensive travel, and extended working hours.
Must have mechanical aptitude and experience.
Must have working knowledge of computers and networking
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
OEM Training Certificates on Imaging Equipment
Network + Certification preferred
A+ Certification preferred
CRES preferred
