Job Summary
Responsible for providing IT support for the assigned site(s). This includes PC hardware and software support, server management and maintenance, application support, and local telecommunications support. Includes using, developing, promoting, and monitoring the appropriate IT standards, documentation, and procedures. Assists with the overall planning of changes or upgrades to standards and is responsible for the implementation at their site(s).
Essential Functions
  • Reconfigure LAN/WAN to ensure data protection, address connectivity issues and data integrity. Direct vendors in regard to wiring and occasional onsite consulting for tasks. Acquisition, configuration, installation, licensing, training, and ongoing support for site’s desktop hardware and software. Works with vendors and other IT members as appropriate.
  • Interpretation of IT Standards local site management. Help develop site specific policies and standards as needed.
  • Local ERP support to include account set up with desktops and connections, resetting user profiles/accounts, handling printer issues, and working with other enterprise application issues.
  • Supports site’s VOIP equipment. This includes VOIP switch, handsets, connections, minor software modifications (i.e. adds/changes/moves) and other related equipment. Works with outside vendors and other IT members as appropriate
  • Tracks and maintains IT hardware and IT software assets inventory for site(s)
Job Qualifications
Required
  • Technical skills that include knowledge and experience with servers and desktop/laptop hardware/software as well as network infrastructure, VOIP phone systems and WAN / LAN support.
  • Knowledge of project management, and project management software.
  • Ability to prioritize issues and tasks and understands how they relate to the needs and priorities of each business site.
  • Communication skills to express thoughts, ideas, and concerns orally and written.
  • Ability to be on-call after hours 24/7 by 365.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability with a variety of situations and manage business expectations during periods of change.
  • Ability to be creative, analytical, planning and detail oriented. Is self-motivated, proactive, and a team-builder. Is dedicated to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Documentation skills for a multi-site environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of information systems practices consistent with that normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree in information systems or a similar field and a minimum of 2 years of information systems related experience.
  • Enough WAN / LAN knowledge and experience to maintain uptime for the environment.
  • Enough PC and PC OS knowledge to properly maintain a facility with 35+ units in place.
  • Enough server and server OS knowledge to properly maintain a facility with multiple servers

M-F 8 hours a day and is on-call to provide after-hours support as needed.
