Responsibilities
- Improve processes, methods and quality for efficiency.
- Perform research, design and develop manufacturing processes, to include production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Coordinate launch of new/revised products establishing goals, training team members and evaluation results.
- Design, develop and test and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for manufacturing methods.
- Perform process/product analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.
- Lead by example, ensure implementation of Organizational Objectives for Workplace Safety. Ensure workplace order and cleanliness.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer.
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
- Working knowledge of Quality Systems ISO, QS, TS16949.
- Quality orientation, attention to detail, problem analysis and problem resolution
- Must be able to assist Manufacturing Manager in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills: able to form strong working relationships and communicate well with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel to up to 50% for defined periods in and out of the Unites States.
