Sr. SQL/Python/Linux Implementation Specialist (5-10 yrs experience)
Location : Manhattan, NY – FULLY REMOTE POSITION
Salary : 120-140K based on experience + Bonus of 10%+ on average + Fully paid Benefits and 401K match

Musts :
  • Come out of a software company or similar type of company, within client implementation.
  • 3-5 years of SQL Server - Configuration of SQL Queries
  • Linux - Mid Level - Administration, read batch scripts, diagnose solve random issues, change directories, kick-off scripts.
  • Python and or Java Scripting - intermediate level - 3-5 years
  • 1-3 years of AWS - Production Support
  • A BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or similar

Job description :
A successful/fast-growing financial technology headquartered in New York City seeks an individual to join the Client Implementation Team. This specialist would work in the Flatiron NYC office. The individual will be joining a fast-moving start-up atmosphere and will be highly motivated, extremely thorough, and have the ability to manage competing priorities. This individual will have graduated from an accredited four-year undergraduate university.

Responsibilities would include :
  • Scripting of client installations and integration with job schedules and monitoring processes
  • Testing troubleshooting client run jobs
  • Contributing to design and implementation of product’s python scripting interface
  • Interact with various types of databases in order to pull and shape data into different formats for data collection and statistical analysis
  • Contribute to ongoing product development and improvement effort
  • Draft, update and implement firm policies, procedures & templates associated with each bespoke client build in addition to n-Tier proprietary documentation requirements

Desired Skills and Experience :
  • The position requires a self-starter with strong communication and technical skills, the ability to understand and adapt to a wide variety of compliance and data analytical projects, and the desire and ability to maintain the company's strong compliance monitoring program and record.
  • Strong time management skills are essential.
  • Technical coding and development skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential along with an understanding of databases.
  • JAVA or any object-oriented language, Python, "Big Data” is a must.
  • Technical writing skills are an asset.
  • Familiarity with applicable broker-dealer regulations Blue Sheets, OATS, Consolidated Audit Trail, TRACE, and Short Interest are a plus.
