About This Position
The Senior Business & Financial Analyst Position will work with the COO/CFO to ensure that day-to-day operational aspects of the organization are addressed, while helping to modernize systems and processes to effectively absorb the growth needed to support the implementation of the Action Agenda. This position is located at our Headquarters Campus in Lincoln, MA.

Responsibilities
- Working closely with the COO/CFO, initiate and manage improvements to Mass Audubon’s financial and administrative policies and procedures, including automation and cost reduction projects. Revise, update and standardize business processes for maximum efficiency and clarity, working closely with other staff and with outside consultants.
- Research best practices for business processes at other similar organizations and work with the COO/CFO to apply best practices across operational and financial systems.
- Assist the COO/CFO and others with financial analysis and planning that supports new initiatives and ongoing processes, from building annual budgets and conducting long-term financial planning to assessing programmatic effectiveness and supporting capital maintenance budgets.
- Assist in the creation and analysis of the annual operating and capital maintenance budgets and various project budgets.
- Represent the Operations Division on internal committees and task forces.
- Provide back up to the COO/CFO as needed and support other department directors in the Operations Division if requested.
- Attend meetings of and present information to the Audit, Administration/Finance, Investment, and other standing and ad hoc committees of the Board of Directors, as requested.
- Review and approve invoices, payroll transmittals, legal documents, tax returns, and regulatory filings, as needed.
- Assume other responsibilities as requested/needed, including involvement in Mass Audubon’s sustainability and diversity, equity, inclusion, justice and accessibility efforts.

We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications:
- MBA, MPA or equivalent with emphasis on financial management
- Minimum three years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated financial analysis and management skills required
- Demonstrated ability to participate as a team member in decision-making processes and ability to provide creative input related to business and financial affairs
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills required
- Knowledge of computer systems related to accounting and financial management required as well as strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Compensation, Benefits and Perks
This position’s base salary begins at $85,000-$95,000 per year; actual salary will reflect level of experience and qualifications relative to position requirements.

Work Schedule
Full time schedule of 40 hours, Monday through Friday

Employees must successfully complete a CORI and SORI Background Check and a Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable) is required.
