This first-level project management position provides consistent creative and high-quality solution leadership ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Guide client and Oracle resources in identifying and executing the Millennium changes required to achieve client defined goals/system benefits.
- Collaborate with the client on the design of clinical and business process, solution and technology workflow, and successful adoption that will lead to achieved goals/value of identified projects.
- Assist in change management, helps our identify opportunities for improvements, and is accountable for achieving Oracle’s targeted project outcomes.
Employs independent judgment in guiding moderately complex activities involved in the successful implementation of an integrated business solution, ensuring project quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction. Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies, policies, and procedures while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. As a project lead, assists project teams with aspects of their roles. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Acts as a liaison between the client and Oracle Support to ensure issues are addressed:
- Responsible for monitoring client’s Oracle Support backlog driving issue resolution.
- Responsible for managing escalated support tickets and communicating progress to appropriate stakeholders.
- Participate in Client’s change management process.
- Manage defect tracking and obligation requests.
- Responsible for monitoring transactional level survey information and working with client and/or Oracle Support to improve experience.
- Review operational reporting specific to client’s engagement with Oracle Support
6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 0-5 years of project management experience. Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles. Comfortable working in a matrix management environment. Strong communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the portfolio focus. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

Your Role
In this role, the Senior Engagement Owner is the project manager that will oversee the business and installation process as well as relationships within large projects for designated Oracle Cerner clients, while serving as the primary contact for all client-based activities. This position includes project management and planning, risk assessment, value achievement, client alignment with appropriate executive relationship management, and project status review of assigned accounts. The Senior Engagement Owner will also provide support to the project team members and resource management to meet contracted project plan deliverables.

About You
- You have an understanding of Cerner Solutions
- You have successfully worked as a consultant providing domain and/or project management oversite
- You have healthcare industry expertise
- You enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to determine process, methodology and driving continuous process improvement
- You understand sensitivity in safeguarding corporate and client assets
- You are willing to travel up to 75%, as needed
- You bring agility and flexibility
- You provide domain expertise, project management and client relationship management
About your background and qualifications
- You have at least 6 years of professional experience and completed higher education
- You have 3+ years Healthcare Information Technology (HCIT) Consulting experience, offering HCIT support, project management, client relationship management or HCIT solutions
- You exhibit exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
- You hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience
- You hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) - Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (preferred)
- You have a strong understanding of Cerner Millennium (highly preferred)
