JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Director, IS Finance will report to the Sr. Vice President, Hospital Operations with a direct dotted-line reporting relationship to the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. This role will collaborate directly with the CIO and the entire Information Systems (IS) leadership team. The IS function continues to make changes to its business operating model to help the business drive competitive differentiation, innovation, and revenue growth through digital transformation.

The Senior Director, IS Finance will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the enterprise wide IS function. This role will oversee the existing corporate IS Finance team of 14 individuals that currently consists of two Directors, one Manager, one Business Analyst and an offshore team of 10.

This position will be responsible for the continued transformation and maintenance of a process for IS planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, The position will also work closely with IS, Operations and Finance leadership to prioritize technology initiatives that will provide quicker time to value in the development lifecycle and measure success based on the end-user satisfaction, speed of innovation, and achievement of the required return on investment.

The IS Finance team currently leverages the Apptio technology business management platform to better review and communicate the cost of IS services for planning, budgeting and forecasting purposes.

Approximately 60 percent of the Senior Directors focus will be on Financial Management-Business Planning, Financial Forecasting. Risk and Opportunity Assessment, and Contract Evaluation & Governance and 40 percent on Leadership-Translating Strategic Vision into Operating Plans.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and substantial experience with IS Operations and specific experience with Apptio and Agile development environments.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external teams. He/she will also have the ability to successfully manage both up and down the organization.

Education/Certifications

A bachelor’s degree is required in the areas of Accounting or Finance, and an MBA is a plus.
