This candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks associated with calibrating customer ownedmeasurement equipment. Tasks include pick-up and delivery of tools, inducting,performing, and recording high accuracy measurements, creating the certificationdocumentation and stickers, and verifying inputs. Other duties include verifying fellow Calibration techs work and researching equipment calibration requirements Prior experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators, pressure sources and gages,torque wrenches, drivers and transducers, and multimeters a plus.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:

• Perform high accuracy measurements
• Document the calibration results and complete the certificate and stickers in
• compliance with internal procedures, ISO 17025 and customer PO as required
• Experience with micrometers, calipers, indicators both dial and Vernier scale
• measurements a plus
• Hydraulic and pneumatic pressure sources and gages a plus
• Assist/train Calibration Technicians in calibration processes

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires minimum of 1-year related experience.
• Must possess strong electrical background and electronics theory training.
• The ability to work as a team player as well as independently is required.

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to read, write and comprehend English instructions
• Ability to read technical manuals.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment, multi-meter, oscilloscope, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Ability to determine temperature required for proper control of components being treated.
• Manual dexterity
• Good vision with correction
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Withstand loud noise of a machine shop environment
