What you will do:
- Assist in developing strategic vision for technology adoption across Cornbelt region. Specifically – What technologies should we be using? How do they fit together? How do they benefit the day-to-day work of our field teams at each level? How does this vision differentiate us from our retail competitors?
- Work with Regional Adoption Manger to design a broad, cohesive, and holistic technology adoption strategy and narrative that fits the entire Cornbelt region.
- Work with Adoption Specialists to adjust the rollout of that broad strategy as needed to account for each divisions’ unique business challenges and needs.
- Act as first line of technical support on all precision ag functions for Adoption Specialists and coach Adoption Specialists on how to train and support the field.
- Possess expertise in all facets of Nutrien technology such as Echelon, Digital Hub, NutriScription, Ag Bridge, Agrible, etc
- Keep up to date on features and integrations of widely used 3rd party platforms such as MyJohnDeere, Ag Logic, Climate FieldView, SMS, Slingshot, etc.
- Provide seasonally relevant support for commonly used monitors as necessary (John Deere, CASE, Raven, Ag Leader, Precision Planting, etc.)
- Design seasonally relevant trainings for Digital Adoption team to increase confidence and fill gaps in knowledge on all Nutrien and 3rd party technologies
- Present and speak at various internal meetings as necessary to support and promote technology adoption
- Work in conjunction with Comms & Training team to design and manage training materials, Teams channels, and Sharepoint sites that provide clear and easy to access resources for Adoption Team and field staff.
- Create and manage best-practice guides to support training of Adoption Specialists and field on different functions of precision ag (i.e., soil sampling, creating VR recs, integration setup, monitor guides, field planning, seed rec tool, etc.)
- Coordinate between Product Development team and Adoption Specialists to test and provide feedback on new features before they are released into production.
- Coordinate between Digital Agronomy and Adoption Specialists to implement and track trials for new products and methodologies across the region.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Agronomy, Soils, Ag Business or other ag-related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
- 5+ years of precision agronomy experience and high-level understanding of the agricultural industry required
- Background in change management or technology adoption
- Proven knowledge and understanding of standard precision ag practices, technology and supporting agronomic principles
- Experience in marketing and positioning precision ag services for maximum value capture for a crop input retail business
- Understanding and knowledge of various roles at a retail branch level and how they interact with precision ag technology
- Ability to travel 40-50% within assigned territory
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $74,000 to $101,750. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
