Position Title: Security Guard
Location: CICS West Belden, 2245 N McVicker
Reports To: Campus Director of Operations | School Principal
Start Date: June 2023

Position Description:

As a part of the school support team, a Security Guard will work collaboratively with the rest of the student support team to assist in the operational functions of their campus. A Security Guard will support the school mission and values as well as the DS mission and values to be the face and voice of the school with professionalism and organization, as a top priority at all times. A Security Guard will promote attitudes of student responsibilities and assists the professional staff with the safety of students and staff and the security of the facilities. This person will:

• Exercise good judgment with regards to student behavior and disciplinary actions

• Interact and relate to students from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds

• Monitor student behavior and promote a safe school environment

• Support & Manage daily traffic coordination

• Assist in the reception office, as needed

• Monitor hallways and bathrooms on a consistent daily basis

• Assist with all safety and evacuation procedures

• Assign and manage all 2-way radios

• Accept and distribute daily mail and packages

• Monitor and observe the parking lot

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

• Ability to communicate well with others, verbally and written
