U.S. Facilities, a consolidated facility management service, at the Atlantic City International Airport is looking for reliable Snow Shovelers/Snow Removal Technicians to add to their growing team. This seasonal on-call position has been created to assist with snow removal operations at the Atlantic City International Airport. This is a weather-dependent position with no guaranteed hours. The snow shoveler position requires the successful applicant to work on an on-call basis with irregular hours between roughly December and the end of March each year. Applicants must be available and committed to work with very short notice at all times of the day and night using a variety of tools and equipment. This is a new position with growth potential for the right person. Our company has many long-term employees who have developed personally and professionally with our company.

Job Responsibilities: A Snow Shoveler is expected to:

• Understand concepts of winter maintenance, such as snow clearing, ice removal, clearing parking lots, walkways, sidewalks and ramps
• Document the usage of materials
• Operate their equipment in all conditions, especially during heavy snowfall, in addition to before and after snowfall
• Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions such as calcium chloride or rock salt, or other de-icing substances to clear ice from sidewalks, walkways, ramps, parking lots, etc.
• Perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions specifically very cold, icy snowy weather
• Have cold weather gear and wear it appropriately to protect themselves against cold weather conditions.
• Have ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Work in a healthy and safe manner and follow all company safety guidelines
• Perform routine inspections to ensure safety and reliability of equipment, including pre-storm and post-storm inspections while reporting repairs as needed
• Take constructive feedback from supervisor(s)
• Proactively respond in looking for potential hazards, problems and overall safety
• Have excellent time management skills
• Have exceptional attendance and reliability
• Always maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

• Hand Shovels
• Snow Blowers
• Salt Spreaders
• Bobcats
• Other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

Physical demands:

• Constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
• Will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials
• Frequently required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50 to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Specific visual abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
• Constantly required to communicate, along with ability to talk and hear
• Position may include heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, and exposure to tools and machines
