Pace’s Baton Rouge Environmental Laboratory is a leading environmental laboratory located in Baton Rouge, LA and is a member of the largest privately held environmental testing agency in the country. We are adding a full-time Scientist to our Semi-Volatiles Department!

Schedule:
-
Full-Time; Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Saturday hours are flexible.)

Opportunity available for paid overtime
Daily Tasks:
-
Provides fundamental analysis in support of standard testing materials, products and/or devices utilizing standard analytical instrumentation
-
Provides fundamental review, analysis, interpretation and documentation of testing results
-
Overseeing or reviewing, completing and processing various types of standard chemistry/biochemistry forms, documents, databases, and related materials and information
-
Cleans, maintains, prepares and calibrates equipment, samples, and related areas
-
Using up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
-
Additional Duties as required
Attention to detail and teamwork are key!
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry, or a closely related field
Where You Work:
-
Lab setting – subject to chemicals, fumes, gasses, noxious odors, and related items in a lab and samples setting
Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturday hours are flexible.
40+ Hours/Week
