Salesperson (Tile, Stone and Countertops)

We are a second generation family owned business that has been serving Maui for over 46 years. We are seeking a new Salesperson to join our 30 member employee team. The successful candidate for this position will help both work with retail and key trade industry clients (builders, designers, remodeling business, etc.).

Specific Responsibilities:

• Meet one on one with clients to assess what the scope of their project is and help suggest appropriate materials within client budgets and lead times.
• Assist clients in selecting stone, tile, countertop materials and related products for their projects.
• Attend regular on site product training sessions.
• Over time, demonstrate product knowledge of in stock and special order materials.
• Perform regular transactions including, providing quotes for clients in a timely manner, excellent follow up to your clients.
• Establish rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients
• Meet / exceed monthly sales goals
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior sales experience desired
• Must work well in a team environment
• High School Diploma required
• Quick Books experience desired but not required
• Strong communication and follow up skills required.
• Ability to multi-task and anticipate client's needs.
• Problem solving skills a must.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds

This full time position works Tuesday - Saturday.

Weekdays 7:00 am - 3:30 pm *

Saturdays 8:00 am - 2:00 pm *

* These work hours will change as the showroom will eventually resume a 7:00 am - 5:00 pm schedule as the pandemic effects on person to person interactions lessen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Sales team in the building (employee and clients) are asked to mask. Social distancing rules are in effect (6'). Surfaces are sanitized on a regular schedule throughout the day. Air purifiers are running 24/7 in the showroom and break room.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Sales Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
