LOCATION: Salvation Army Thrift Store - Albuquerque, NM

STATUS: Part - Time

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Albuquerque, NM is looking to fill a Sales Associate position. This position will be responsible for ringing up sales on the cash register, bagging purchases for customers and keeping the sales floor clean and free of debris. The Sales Associate will provide good customer service answering the Thrift Store telephone and answering customer questions or concerns. This position will also set up promotional and sales displays, and return merchandise not purchased to its proper place in the store.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a regular basis
• Good people skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally help to lift and/or move up to 75. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
