We are looking for a Safety Manager to come join our team!

General Summary:

The Safety Manager is responsible for the Company’s Safety Program.

Responsibilities of Position:

Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Maintains at a high degree or readiness to support Operations across the organization.
  • Supports standard operating procedures (SOP), standards, and initiatives that help achieve organizational objectives from a company-wide level as it relates to safety.
  • Prepare regular reports as requested.

Personal Responsibilities:

  • Undergoing training and staying abreast of the safety rules and regulations of all government entities at the federal, state and local levels, including both in the US and the UK.
  • Sourcing risk assessments as needed.
  • Conducting inspections and safety audits in order ensure compliance with applicable environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining employee training programs. Evaluating effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments.
  • Establishing and maintaining safety and training records.
  • Coordinate the Safety Coordinators at each location and hold regular meetings.
  • Developing, updating and managing workplace safety procedures, programs and policies.
  • Responding to reported accidents in order to evaluate the Company’s current safety practices and developing policies and procedures for avoiding future occurrences.
  • Maintaining a watch over the safety programs and ensuring that they are appropriate to offer requisite safety to the employees.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Team Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy and that meets OSHA standards and other governmental or regulatory requirements. Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any workplace hazards or safety concerns
  • Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all Company employees.

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of operations, including security and safety programs.
  • A degree or certification in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is required.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and HSE standards.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise.
  • Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.

Physical Requirements:

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors, and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.

Availability:

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

Position Location and/or Territory and Travel:

  • Position will require up to 50% travel.

Position Type:

  • Full-Time/Regular
  • Based on the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), management has analyzed this position and determined it to be exempt due to the Administrative Exemption.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
