Position Purpose:

The Manager, Pricing will be responsible for day-to-day management of contract pricing and street level pricing for Guest Supply. The work will include interfacing with product marketing specialists and buyer/planners to ensure that Guest Supply's Corporate Sales Pricing and Street Sales pricing is market relevant and aligned with the strategic priorities of the company. Responsible for taking raw costing data, combining it with transactional sales history and contextual market data to make contract price and street price recommendations. As a new team, led by the Manager, Pricing, the Analysts will be responsible for working with management to build out performance management reporting and thinking critically about how our pricing analytics can be optimized to improve gross margins. This role will be responsible for serving as day-to-day lead for the analyst team and implementing continuous improvements to optimize existing pricing models and processes, as well as developing analytical and technical capabilities of junior analysts on the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Complete pricing architecture, including performing pricing analytics, analyzing external pricing data, and generating pricing insights and recommendations, to maximize gross profit
  • Perform ad hoc pricing and performance analyses to support Revenue Management initiatives
  • Present and communicate pricing architecture insights and recommendations to cross-functional team leaders including Product Marketing Specialists, Sourcing Directors, and Sales Leadership
  • Hire, train and manage the Analysts to meet the established goals, foster employee engagement and continual improvement
  • Manage transfer cost execution process and perform quality (accuracy) assurance and control
  • Develop new and update existing tools for greater accuracy and efficiency

Education :
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or another business-related field required
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience:
  • Lodging distribution or consumer packaged goods industry experience a significant advantage
  • 5+ years of overall analytics experience can be inclusive of postgraduate study and work
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Tableau required
  • 2 -3 years of management experience

Skills :
  • Strong leadership skills, strategic and mental agility, and collaborative skills. Understands leadership team dynamics and works well within a team structure
  • Ability to take a business question or problem and develop structured data analytics to answer or solve the problem with minimum instructions
  • Perform quantitative analysis of large data sets using appropriate analytical tools while navigating multiple, complex data environments
  • Possesses a strong general business acumen
  • Participate in multiple workstreams/projects in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Collaborative team player who can synthesize feedback and direction from multiple stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to develop effective presentations to project stakeholders
  • Appropriately tailor messages and mediums to suit the targeted audience
