Revenue Accountant Job at Wisehyre
Responsibilities Lead and manage the month-end and quarter-end close activities including revenue and cost of revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606), balance sheet reconciliations, monthly management reporting package, flux analyses, SSP analysis and SEC related schedules Provide subject matter expertise on the treatment of revenue accounting transactions (under ASC 606) and related financial reporting requirements for existing and potential offerings Review and document customer agreements and purchase orders to ensure compliance with terms and conditions and to determine the appropriate accounting Lead and manage the execution of quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits by external auditors related to reserves and revenue Maintain effective accounting policies, procedures and controls and ensure revenue policies are documented and applied consistently. Develop financial systems solutions and requirements for new applications, enhancements or business needs. Participate in key Revenue area key SOX controls and compliance for Revenue Team Collaborate with the entire finance department and other business partners to support any request Support SEC reporting processes as necessary Assist with GAAP revenue modeling and forecasting Continue to streamline and develop scalable processes and policies for revenue recognition Support revenue team on ad-hoc analysis and projects Required Experience Active CPA with Big 4 experience is preferred 5+ years of combined experience in private industry and public accounting, with at least 3 years of work experience directly related to revenue recognition ASC 606 experience in SaaS and Hardware required RevPro, Oracle and SalesForce application experience is preferred Work closely with ERP team to track projects in progress and system enhancements Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of current US GAAP with respect to revenue recognition and ability/willingness to stay current on all related developing issues Experience with GAAP revenue forecasting preferred Intermediate/advanced Excel skills required and ability to work with and analyze and interpret large volumes of transactional data Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency, with self-starter orientation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a change agent for implementing new ideas and process improvements in an increasingly complex environment Education Must have a BA in Accounting (MBA preferred).
