RETROFIT PROJECT MANAGER Job at Commercial Air and Refrigeration
Enovative is a full-service mechanical contracting company that specializes in commercial HVAC/R maintenance, service, and projects, as well as multifamily hot water service, and building energy retrofit projects.
Due to recent growth, we are seeking a RETROFIT PROJECT MANAGER. This person will be responsible for coordinating sales and operations efforts for our retrofit projects in California., visiting potential job sites to meet with stakeholders, estimating project costs, and submitting bids to customers, as well as responsible for scheduling approved work with the customer and the company’s installation teams, and for ensuring the jobs go smoothly.
The ideal candidate has minimum day-to-day commitments and has the freedom to travel both Northern and Southern California to complete their duties.
Responsibilities include:
- Fieldwork. This is a field position – you will be on the road, working off of a cell phone almost every day. There will be no office to report to on a daily basis, although you’re welcome to stop by our Northern and Southern California offices. You are comfortable with travel, and occasionally living out of a suitcase. Initially, training will be in Livermore, with initial project management duties in the Northern California region, ranging from the City of Monterey in the south to Napa / Sonoma in the north, and as far east as the City of Manteca. After training, there will be significant Project Management duties in the Southern California area as well.
- Bidding/Estimating. Using our existing processes and procedures, this position will be responsible for bidding on projects for the company. This includes taking measurements and photos in the field, getting pricing from vendors, and creating bids using our internal tools.
- Point of Contact. The RPM will be Enovative’s Point of Contact for the various stakeholders of their projects and will coordinate the Company’s responses to requests. The RPM will be supported by the Sales, Installation, and Service Teams to get questions answered correctly and in a timely manner.
- Sales Support. This is not a sales position. However, the Sales Team may have questions about project details, and the RPM will support Sales Staff in their day-to-day interactions.
- Scheduling / Coordination. After the sales team has closed a deal, the RPM coordinates the install calendar with the Install Foreman and Customers. The RPM ensures that installs happen on time, as scheduled.
- Installation Management. On the day of installation, the RPM is expected to be on the jobsite, helping the Install Foreman with any issues and managing client expectations, and generally being supportive of the Install Foreman.
- Billing and Project Closeout. The RPM will pull permits, order parts, and provide other project support and project management services for the projects. At the end of the process, the RPM will ensure that permits are closed and the projects are properly billed to the Customer.

Requirements and Qualifications
- College Degree is preferred but not required
- A similar experience is a plus but not required
- Reliable Transportation
- Clean driving record
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7AM to 4PM
Work Set-up: This is a remote position with lots of time in the field. In-person training will be in Livermore, CA., After training, work will be in Northern California, as well as Southern California, with a travel allowance.
