• Be skilled in reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or recommending the hiring of hourly employees.
• Be able to display tact and strategic planning while directing work for employees including setting weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during, and after open hours of the restaurant
• Have a positive record of staff development and empowerment
• Create a fun, safe environment by following our core values and operational goals, and implementing contests by creating incentives for the team.
• Be committed to coaching performance of employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
• Have a knack for leading by example
• Be passionate about the development of all hourly employees, by providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones.
• Be certified in Food Safety and Sanitation
• Be committed to enforcing applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
• Perform purchasing and inventory duties
• Be adept at service recovery
• Personify a positive mental attitude
• Be self-motivated and detail oriented
• Be reliable, flexible and dependable
• Be dedicated to enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times

How it began:
In 2002, a group of four friends combined their unique backgrounds and skill sets to develop the Wood-n-Tap restaurant brand. In mere months, what started as a rough sketch of a wooden keg on a cocktail napkin turned into the Wood-n-Tap Hartford, one of the most popular new restaurants the city had seen in years. Two years later, HRG opened the Wood-n-Tap Farmington with comparable success.

Today, HRG operates 9 Wood-N-Taps throughout the state as well as one in West Springfield, MA
