POSITION SUMMARY

Here is an incredible opportunity to work for the iconic Balboa Cafe, in its post pandemic glory! We are looking for Restaurant Manager to assist leading an exceptional team of professionals, and make magic happen daily for our valued guests.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • To establish and maintain dining room policies and procedures, including service style, to ensure professional standards of restaurant operation.
  • to ensure proper execution of Bar Operations in the evenings
  • To assist Balboa security team with the following:
    • Patrol bar property, noting any problem areas or unusual activity.
    • Take note of safety hazards and take appropriate remedial action.
    • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.
    • Ensure all guest ID’s are checked at the door before entering premises.
    • To enforce, promote and comply with all policies and procedures of PlumpJack.
    • To call police or fire department in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
    • To assist in preventing and quickly deescalating conflicts, help security with escorting or removing guests in violation of property policies and protocol, and contacting law enforcement when needed.
  • To assist the Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Bar Team with controlling beverage inventory, variety and cost to maintain adequate supply, quality and profitability.
  • To ensure purchasing guidelines for said inventory are being followed.
  • To continually monitor and control division expenditures and payroll to ensure that operational standards are met while maintaining annual budget.
  • To properly document Personnel/Payroll transactions, as directed, for processing in the Human Resources department.
  • To complete payroll reports and prepare final time-log for semi-monthly payroll.
  • To hire, train, schedule, support, review, discipline and terminate employees directly accountable to his/her position, to maintain highest possible levels of employee morale and department productivity.
  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • To extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests as they arrive to thank them as they depart.
  • To continually interact with guests to ensure professional, personalized service throughout their meal.
  • To maintain compliance with local safety and health ordinance regulations.
  • To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.
  • To ensure safe work practices of all staff under his/her direction, including compliance with company and departmental safety rules and regulations and the proper use of handling of all relevant equipment.
  • To conduct departmental operations meetings, including monthly safety meetings.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.

Salary Information

70,000.00 - 80,000.00 USD Annual
