Volunteer Behavioral Health is now seeking a part-time Resource Consultant in the Smyrna, Tennessee area.

The Resource Consultant position is within the Regional Intervention Program (RIP). Regional Intervention Program (RIP) is a parent-implemented program for children up to age 6 and their families who are experiencing challenging behaviors.

The Resource Consultant is a 20 hour/week part time position.

In this position, you would primarily be responsible for providing case management services to other families in the program.

Program currently runs Monday and Wednesday from 11:30 am until 8 pm. These are required hours each week.

What You’ll Do:

• Case management for assigned families.

• Liaison service provider and childcare school intervention provider for assigned families.

• Training, administrative activities, evaluation and program development for RIP program.

• Working directly with children and families in the program to ensure that treatment objectives, evaluations and treatment summaries are individualized and accurate.

• Meeting with members of treatment team to discuss plans and individualized treatment modalities. Working with other RIP staff to develop appropriate treatment activities.

• Implementation and/or supervision of data collection and analysis.

• Intake interviews.

• Community information activities.

• Coordinating with state Technical Assistance Coordinator.

• Data submission and record keeping in absence of program coordinator

• Other duties as assigned.

Pre-Service training for professional staff shall take place at the RIP Nashville facility in Nashville. Successful completion of twenty-four (24) training days is required for new RIP staff before commencement of the local RIP Program operation. Training times and requirements should be discussed with the state technical assistance staff at the RIP Nashville facility. Limited waivers to allow current Coordinator to train staff may be granted.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum of two years’ experience working with preschool children and/or families.

• Some training and supervisory experience are helpful but not required.

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred in Special Education Psychology, Social Work, Child Development or related field.
