Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 90-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent students. As a part of our continued success and growth, we are seeking qualified applicants for our Residential Patient Coordinator position.
Starting Salary is $15.00/hour for a high school diploma/GED - salary expectations are higher based on level of education and experience.
The Residential Patient Coordinator is responsible for collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of residential programs. This will include utilizing such programs as, Power BI, to identify trends and correlations to improve the quality of patient care. This role will oversee the running of the MYA Store to include assuring adequate inventory, staying within budgetary guidelines, monitoring and reconciling patient point balances, and facilitating patients’ participation in store activities, to include supervising patients while in the store and those who volunteer in the store. Assures that incentives are occurring on a regular basis to include planning and organizing incentives and monitoring completion of administrative incentives. Will serve as the coordinator of monthly residential purchases, tracking programmatic needs and maintaining budget. Serves as a back-up Patient Advocate and performing Patient Satisfaction Surveys.
- Input patient data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents within time limits.
- Compile, verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry.
- Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents.
- Apply data program techniques and procedures.
- Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations and perform backup operations.
- Keep information confidential.
- Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
- Support operational functions through the gathering and analysis of data related to service delivery and outcomes as part of the performance improvement process.
- Provide support in the data entry functions associated with operations.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Comply with data integrity and security policies.
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the MYA Store
- Completing purchase orders on timely manner
- Keeping the MYA Store fully stocked of items.
- Monitor stock and inventory and perform quality assurance of merchandise on a regular basis.
- Create and maintain inventory system of all items within the MYA Store
- Keeping the MYA Store always clean and ready for patient activity
- Scanning & tracking of all purchases
- Work to implement effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows.
- Create and maintain points conversion for teaching of life skill within the MYA Store
- Ensure the store complies with outlined safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the coordination and organization of MYA outings and incentives
- Serves as a back-up to the Patient Advocate assuming those duties when needed.
- Serves as a back-up for Patient Satisfaction Survey completion assuming those duties when needed.

Qualifications:
Degree preferred in a related field, However the facility accepts a candidate with the minimum requirements by the State of Tennessee as a high school diploma for employment.
SERVICE STANDARDS/PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT FUNCTION:
- Promotes the philosophy, goals and objectives of the facility by becoming familiar with and complying with facility and departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintains licenses and certifications required for the position.
- Attends mandatory training annually to maintain competency.
