This position provides technology support, education and consultation to residents of Deaconess Abundant Life Communities

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to residents of Deaconess Abundant Life Communities for a variety of technologies, including but not limited to PCs, Macs, smartphones, tablets, wearables, smart TVs, smart home devices, and other technologies as needed.
  • Provides training/education to residents on use of technology.
  • Provides expert advice to residents on purchase/selection of technology.
  • Assists with audio/visual set-up and support for meetings, presentations, performances, etc.

This is an full time on-site, in-person position located in Concord, MA

Strong customer service skills are required. This ideal candidate will have a desire to help older adults learn and use technology, have patience and the ability to explain complex technologies to non-technologically-inclined users. Certifications and/or 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be capable of working independently, self-motivated, able to learn new applications quickly, focused on customer service, have experience working in cross-functional groups, and leading projects to successful completion.

  • Microsoft Office Software Applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • E-Mail Communications
  • Video communications (Zoom, Skype, MS Teams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Antivirus and security systems
  • General knowledge of Wi-Fi/networking
  • Resolve, document and close trouble tickets where possible and escalate as required
  • Participate in the identification, review and implementation of IT infrastructure technology and services to better serve our residents
