Job Title: Destination Experience Agent: Non-Exempt

Department: Reservations

Reports To: Destination Experience Director

PURPOSE

The Destination Experience Agent will be part of a team for the Odyssey Resorts Reservation Call Center. The Destination Experience Agent will be the first impression to all calls coming into all Odyssey resorts and will enthusiastically help to design a perfect trip for our guests. Each individual in the team will know or learn about all the North Shore and what it has to offer, sharing that knowledge with our guests calling in to make reservation or inquiring about the area.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; minimum of one year of previous customer service experience preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Make Vacation reservations for inbound callers and follow up with existing leads via outbound calls and email.
  • Accurately register guests into the computer, verify reservation, address, credit information, etc.
  • Drive revenue by successfully selling rooms and services through up-selling and marketing programs.
  • Serve as guest concierge: Answer inquiries regarding resort area activities and services.
  • Coordinate communications between all resorts and the call center.
  • Maintain current knowledge of resort room types, products, services, pricing, packages/specials, and policies as well as a good knowledge of the local areas and attractions.
  • Maintain effective communication with on-site resort staff and management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee will seldom be required to reach, climb, stoop and kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements required by this job include close and distance vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to general office environment conditions. The employee will seldom be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor conditions and moderate noise.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, the employee may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the resort. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
