Lifeway's Inventory Management Team is seeking an Inventory Analyst. This is not a traditional cycle counting and bin replenishment position. In this position, you'll provide inventory analysis and insight using your strong technical skills and business intelligence tools to help advance Lifeway’s mission by providing leadership and expertise in the areas of: analyzing inventory levels compared to sales, recommending replenishment quantities and timing, and developing, tracking, and reporting inventory metrics that ensure industry best turns while minimizing stock outs.

Responsibilities:
As an Inventory Analyst you will:
  • Monitor and provide analysis for proprietary product inventory including suggesting, processing, and tracking reprint requests for all low stock products in an effort to reduce or eliminate stock outs.
  • Assist the Financial Analysts in the development of initial print quantities for Lifeway and/or B&H imprint product lines.
  • Lead analysis in managing weekly inventory meetings, striving for balance with adequate stock levels and reduced obsolescence costs.
  • Maintain Oracle inventory data including out-of-print, going out-of-print, print-on-demand, etc. as well as leading in the resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Develop, track, and report inventory metrics that ensure inventory levels are best in industry in turn and stock out metrics.
  • Manage annual inventory evaluation and disposition of overstock and obsolete products.
  • Develop and maintains quarterly process to remove unnecessary inventory and keeping warehouses to acceptable levels of inventory.
Qualifications:
  • Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work.
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Related work experience may be considered to fulfill education requirement
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
  • Pursuing or completed MBA degree and/or CMA certificate a plus
  • 2 years of experience with spreadsheets, forecasting, analysis, and planning
  • 2 years of experience with inventory management
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including higher end functionality (i.e. pivot tables, XLookup, etc.)
  • Comfortable with and experienced in mining large datasets of data, extracting the financial story within
  • Experience with report development in business intelligence systems such as PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Tableau, or similar
  • Demonstrated ability to protect and utilize sensitive information responsibly, ability to encourage a strong team culture, and advanced communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and time management skills. Ability to dig through complexity, finding the truth the data presents
  • Actively attend an evangelical Christian church and serve/participate in church events or ministries
