IMG* – is hiring a full-time Release Management Technician with TS/SCI CI Polygraph at it's Chantilly, VA location.
Responsibilities:IMG has an opening for a Release Managment Technician that determines business and operational project requirements of a complex nature, provides recommendations and direction on technology opportunities including/through: feasibility options and functionality analysis. The Release Management Technician leads the Service Operations Team in cost effective superior quality technology framework designs highlighting strategic direction, security governance, disaster recovery, and business continuity. The Release Management Technician provides leadership and guidance to other Service Operation staff members in understanding client’s business, business drivers, and technology priorities.
The job duties of the Release Management Technician are as follows:
- Create release plans and coordinate contents of the release package
- Create roll-back and recovery plans
- Primary conduit for the flow of information between project managers/lead engineers and operations staff for customer deliveries
- Responsible for assigning all tasks to the Operations Team needed for proper service delivery
- Evaluate and communicate any expected impact to service levels due to release
- Communicate release success (or reasons for rollback)
- Manage & coordinate ‘go/no-go’ release decision making
- Participation & development of the Project Plan
- Scheduling, managing and coordinating releases across multiple applications within various portfolios across different teams and projects
- Constructing a release calendar for the different projects to have a centralized view of all releases.
- Ensuring all team members are adhering to engineering best practices
- Monitoring the release process and collecting feedback from the different teams as well as customers for review
- Making improvements on a regular basis to the release process
- Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
- Coordinating processes between different teams (possibly in various locations)
- Leading and coordinating checklist and deployment plan execution
- Ensuring that requirements are clear across dependent project streams with an effective release
Qualifications:Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Counter Intelligence Polygraph required for consideration.

Baseline Certification*: Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements.

Education/*Years of Experience: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 2 years of experience OR Masters and 4 years, Bachelors and 6 years, Associates and 8 years or HS and 10 years.
- Experience with Project Management and Release Management in an IT Environment
- Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
- Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals
- Working knowledge of Service Now or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) products
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are required
- Intermediate-level knowledge of MS Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Familiarity with MS Project
