REHABILITATION AIDE

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assist therapist and therapy assistants with the general operation and coordination of the Rehabilitation Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transports residents as scheduled to and from the therapy room.
• Prepare residents for therapy treatment.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the therapy room and equipment.
• Assist with maintaining adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
• Attend department meeting and facility meetings as required.
• Perform assigned clerical duties within the Rehabilitation Department.
• Assist with department quality assurance program.
• Assist with the implementation of the restorative nursing program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in a skilled nursing setting preferred
• Knowledge of the phases of rehabilitation and restorative nursing programs ideal
• Must possess the ability to work well with and relate positively to the residents, residents family members, and facility staff.
