Med-Surg Nurse Director
Local Interim Contract

Connected Health Care is currently searching for an Interim Med-Surg Nurse Director to work in a well-regarded hospital located in Alabama, roughly one hour of Chattanooga, TN. The Nurse Director will be responsible for managing the patient care unit(s) and ensuring the care provided is consistent with the hospital's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and management skills, and will promote Servant Leadership while communicating clearly and motivating others to achieve outcomes.

Job Description & Requirements

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Department: Med/Surg
• Start Date: ASAP

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Current RN licensure in state of Alabama.
• BLS and ACLS Required.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
• Minimum of 1 year experience required.

The Nurse Director will also be responsible for managing the budget, interviewing and selecting new hires, ensuring orientation and training for employees, promoting employee retention, and monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also work to achieve measurable improvement in areas of responsibility and will set performance standards for staff.

Minimum requirements for this position include current RN licensure, previous Director experience preferred, at least 5 years of RN experience, BLS certification, and ACLS and PALS preferred.
