Job Summary and Qualifications

INTENSIVE CARE UNIT REGISTERED NURSE – FULL-TIME NIGHT SHIFT 7P-7A

Our Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. RNs on our 8-bed general ICU provide care to all types of critically ill patients including Open Heart, Spine and Sepsis. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
• Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

What qualifications you will need:

• ADN required / BSN preferred
• Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Must have at least one (1) year of critical care RN experience in an acute care hospital

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
