Summary:
Gives salutations and monitors those who enter/exit or contact the community, determines nature of business, and directs guests to destination and assists Community Care Partners by performing the following duties in support of Shalom Park's Mission Statement:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets and screens visitors to facility, checks identification as needed; issues and collects identification badges as representatives sign in/out
- Operates telephone console to receive incoming telephone calls, operates Hospice phone to receive incoming calls
- Obtains caller’s name and transfers call to destination or voice mail; screens calls for administrative staff
- Receives requests from within the facility and locates appropriate personnel
- Answers questions/inquiries for callers and visitors
- Uses computer for word processing, spreadsheets, and data base applications
- Maintains list of Elders (rooms and phone extensions), forwarding addresses, and other miscellaneous information, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
- Types and edits memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents on the computer as needed
- Collects and distributes packages, newspapers and messages, forwards to appropriate person
- Directs emergency personnel when they enter the building
- Schedules conference room, community room, library, classroom, and other meeting rooms as needed
- Notifies appropriate Care Partners when an Elder passes away
- Issues refunds for vending machines. Issues meal tickets for visitors
- Welcomes Elders when they newly arrive and notifies Care Partners of their arrival
