If you have a passion for improving the lives of children and families, join the team at Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh! We currently have an opening for a Receptionist/Membership Coordinator at our Radford/Downtown location.

The Receptionist/Membership Coordinator is an incredibly important part of the Boys & Girls Club team, as he/she is typically the first person our youth, parents, and community members see when entering the Club!

Responsibilities of the Receptionist/Membership Coordinator include:

  • Greeting and welcoming all who enter the building
  • Ensuring members scan in with their Club Card each day
  • Acceptance and recording of payments and other paperwork from families
  • Acceptance of incoming phone calls and route as appropriate; check Club email
  • Assisting parents & Club members with the pick-up process
  • Medication distribution and maintenance for Club members
  • Coordination of the use of the membership tracking system
  • Preparation of correspondence, reports, letters, etc. as requested

The working hours for the Receptionist/Membership Coordinator are 1:00 – 6:30 pm on school days, and 9:30 – 6:00 pm on non-school days and during summer programming. The starting pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Additional information/requirements:

  • This role is a mandated child abuse reporter.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or become certified within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong office skills, including computer operations, word processing with a high degree of accuracy, good grammar, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs, Calendar, etc.
  • Experience handling phone, money, reception, filing and correspondence
  • Must be able to interact physically with children during program activities.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to think clearly and concisely.
  • Must be able to function in a loud environment with high energy interacting with multiple aged members.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of environments, including outdoor activities and possible trip assignments.
  • Good communications skills – both verbal and written
  • Minimum of one year administrative support experience in an office environment preferred
  • Positive attitude and upbeat nature when dealing with members and the general public
  • Superb organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong customer service and people skills
