Summary of Position:

Incumbent will begin in a training status working with an experienced range rider learning the areas of tribal lands to patrol, inspect and maintain boundary lines/fences, enforcement of an overall clean environment, issuing citations, controlling livestock, and other duties as instructed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  Assist and ride with another Range Rider to Patrol tribal lands to inspect boundary lines and its conditions.
• Assist in repairs and mending of fences as needed.
• Assist other programs in the elimination in hazardous conditions (whether man-made or natural) to promote safety awareness.
• Learning how to properly Issue citations to individuals violating tribal codes dealing with tribal lands, such as, cutting fences, dumping of trash.
• Livestock control in immediate village areas, etc.
• Assist and be involved in the establishment of precautionary measures in the event of emergencies involving exposure of hazardous chemicals, etc.
• Provides periodic reports to the Governor's and upon request.
• Training in report writing and daily log of activities.
• Other assignments as deemed necessary from the Governor's Office.
• Other duties as assigned.
