RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN II - MEDICAL IMAGING DEPARTMENT Job at Johnson Memorial Hospital
Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when administering imaging procedures as associated with department policies and procedures and/or as needed by physician. Functions in multiple modalities.
Compassionately gives patient care to provide comfort and well-being to the patient acknowledging physiological and psychological needs through policy and procedures governing department.
Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignments in an appropriate and timely manner.
Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly and accurately according to department guidelines and in a timely manner.
Actively participates in charge capture/cost containment activities according to specialty area expectations.
Insures that designated work area is clean and stocked with supplies on an on-going basis. Operates equipment correctly and keeps chief technologist informed of any needed repairs.
Participates in orientation, education and self-development, including student training.
Searches for better ways of doing things by recommending and/or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/or services provided.
Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides quality service to all customers (internal and external).
Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances.
Practices radiation safety in accordance to ALARA principles for protection.
Shows proficiency in use of the Hospital and Radiology Information system pertaining to job specific functions.
Two years post-high school education/training in an AMA approved School of Radiology, with current registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Current Indiana General license required. CPR certification required. Previous radiology experience preferred.
