Position Overview:

The Quality Planner I review customer's purchase orders, drawings, terms and conditions and quality manuals to ensure compliance to applicable requirements. You will work internally with upper management, IT, inspectors, purchasing, and quality control, and externally with customers and subcontractors. Work is performed under general supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews customer's purchase orders, drawings, terms & conditions and quality manuals and customer requirements to ensure compliance to applicable requirements before acceptance of contract and creation of manufacturing jobs
  • Accurately creates and reviews new quality plans for manufacturing
  • Accurately creates job orders when manufacturing plans have been approved and an efficient and economical quality plan has been determined
  • Interprets aerospace industry processing specifications in the development of quality plans

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of quality requirements
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Basic understanding and ability to read and interpret blueprint requirements
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills in English
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Intermediate computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office products
  • Basic windows/internet browser/database

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year related quality assurance experience, preferably in manufacturing/processing company
  • Familiarity with general Aerospace Manufacturing related requirements, specifications, and practices
  • Basic GD&T understanding

Shift Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
